In response to Sen. Reid’s statement that he has been told from an unnamed but reliable source that Romney didn’t pay taxes for 10 years, Mr. Romney said Reid should Put Up or Shut Up by giving out the name of the unnamed source.
I can’t help but remembering Romney’s statement earlier in the campaign about “what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander”. Reid naming his source won’t prove that Romney didn’t pay his taxes only disclosing Romney’s past tax returns will prove he paid taxes as he claims. Perhaps it is time for Romney to Put Up or Shut Up that he paid his taxes.
